Trent Athletes of the WeekTrent University is proud to announce that Leath Swierenga is the RILEY'S-JUNCTION Male Athlete of the Week for the week of January 31st. Leath is the setter for the Trent volleyball team and helped his team earn a victory over La Cite College, to remain in a tie for the 3rd and final playoff spot in the OCAA East Division. Leath is also a member of the Trent Rowing team. Leath hails from Windsor, Ontario and is a 5th year athlete completing his Honours in Biology and Anthropology. Trent University is proud to announce that Adrienne Mason is the RILEY'S-JUNCTION Female Athlete of the Week for the week of January 31st. Adrienne, a member of the Trent Nordic Ski team, finished in 14th place in the 10km skate, and 20th place in the 5km free at the Carleton Invitational, Saturday, January 29th. Adrienne hails from Port Elgin, Ontario and is a 3rd year Environmental Science student. Trent Skiers Compete at CarletonThe Trent University Nordic Ski team competed at the Carleton Invitational, Saturday, January 29. In the women's 5km classic, Adrienne Mason finished in 20th place with a time of (20:29.3), followed by Gillian Kunza in 31st place (23:45.6), and Rachel Herron (26:22.3). In the women's 10km skate, Adrienne Mason finished in 14th place (31:46.6), Rachel Herron finished in 28th place (34:24.0), and Gillian Kunza finished in 38th place (38:00.0). In the men's event, recent Trent graduate Stephen Hart, now competing for Lakehead University won both the Men's 7.5km free (29:10.1) and the 10km classic (34:46.5).
