First Peoples House of Learning
Indigenous Support Services for the Trent Durham campus are offered by First Peoples House of Learning (FPHL).
FPHL is honoured to offer cultural services to a diverse community of Indigenous learners (First Nations Status, Non-Status, Métis and Inuit). We collaborate with students to support their academic success, personal development, and leadership potential.

FPHL Cultural Spaces
Trent Durham’s campus has several Indigenous spaces for gathering and supporting cultural learning and activities on campus, including the Indigenous Student Lounge, the 30-foot on-campus Tipi, and the new Medicine Garden. These spaces are important to cultivating empathy, respect and positive connection between students, faculty, and staff.
