Your TrentU card serves as your official university identification. All current students, staff, and faculty at Trent University are entitled to a TrentU Card. Please ensure that you have your TrentU card whenever you are visiting any Trent University campus.

Your TrentU Card is also your:

  • Library card
  • Printing access card
  • Trent Cash card for purchases on campus, and select off-campus locations
  • Identification for gym membership for eligible members
  • Door and elevator access for students in Residence
  • Identification verification for UPASS use

How to Receive your Card

  1. Upload your photo ahead of time by submitting your portrait-style photo online here! or via myTrent portal > Services > TrentU Card Photo Submission
  2. Check for an email that your photo has been processed
  3. Bring identification to the InfoDesk, Building A, after 3-5 business days to pick-up your TrentU card
  4. Keep your TrentU card for the duration of your studies at Trent 

Students moving into residence will receive their TrentU Card when they move in. Please include a photo with your residence application or submit through the myTrent portal: myTrent portal > Services > TrentU Card Photo Submission. 

Students who are not living in residence will receive an email once their online photo submission form has been processed. Your TrentU card will be ready for pick up at the Durham Campus InfoDesk within 3-5 business days.

Trent Card Tips

  • Please do not hole-punch your cards - they will deactivate
  • You can load money on your card at the TrentU Card Office in Peterborough, at the Durham Durham Print & Post (DRA146), or online through the myTrent Portal
  • Lost card? Deactivate your card online through the myTrent Portal

Transit Passes

Peterborough Transit passes can be picked up from the TrentU Card Office in Blackburn Hall Room #104.

All registered full-time undergraduate and postgraduate certificate students, will receive a digital Universal Transit Pass (UPASS) for use on Durham Region Transit. Full-time graduate students may choose to opt-in to the UPASS. Please see transit for information on how to register your UPASS.
