Meet your Academic Skills Instructor at Lady Eaton
Natalie Nelson
As Academic Skills Instructor, I get to work with students to help them refine and strengthen the academic skills needed for learning at university: how to manage time, reading and notetaking, studying and exam prep, as well as writing skills. I enjoy supporting students through individual appointments, workshops, programs and events, and online resources. The best part of my job is meeting with students and watching their confidence grow in their ability to reach their academic goals.
My academic journey began at Trent in 2013 when I began my undergraduate studies in Sociology and Education. In 2020, I completed my Masters in Education at Trent during which I focused my studies on community building in post-secondary education. After working in various student service roles around the university where I engaged with students, faculty, staff, and alumni, I was thrilled to join Lady Eaton College as Academic Skills Instructor in 2021. I invite you to connect by booking an appointment, sending an email, or dropping by the Lady Eaton College Office!
