Melanie Sedge
Melanie began working at Trent University in November of 2001 in the Canadian Studies Department running an experiential education program for International Academics who studied Canada. For seven years after this, Melanie worked in Continuing Education, building and running the General Interest and Professional Development Certificate programs for members of the Peterborough community. In 2009, Melanie returned to her roots in outdoor education and experiential learning and as the Coordinator of Camps and Campus Recreation at the Athletic Centre. From 2014-18 Melanie was Head of Champlain College and proud to be the first woman to have the job in the 50 year history of the College. Through all of her roles, the most meaningful part for Melanie has always been working with students and being able to support them as they navigate their own journeys. As an Academic Advisor, Melanie is able to do this work every single day and she looks forward to working with you during your time with Lady Eaton College and at Trent.
