Traill College Office
Scott House 106 & 107 | Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The College Office is considered the first point of contact for all students looking for assistance on campus. The College Office provides resources to connect students with Academic Skills and Academic Advisors. Located at Traill College, in Scott House room 106 & 107.
Greg Piasetzki Reading Room (Undergraduate Study Space)
Scott House 102 | Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A quiet study space for students to work on assignments and study. Located on the right-hand side when you enter the front doors of Scott House. There are several desks to use as well as computers, wifi, and access to printing.
Graduate Reading Room

A quiet study space for graduate students to study and work on assignments. Several desk carousals available for use. The Graduate Reading Room also holds various book collections including the T.H.B. Symons and Peter Adams’ Collection.
College Library

A cozy mini library in the heart of Scott House. A wide range of books including history, poetry, gender and Canadian studies, and law are available for check out and for resources. A great place for individual study or group projects.
Junior Common Room (JCR)
Scott House 101 | Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A warm and welcoming space for students relax, converse with friends, study or work on assignments. The JCR has a variety of board games available for students to use and there is a beautiful piano that can be played.
The William Vaisey Music Collection is located in the JCR with 800 books on music and approximately 5000 piano and vocal works that can be used by students. It is located on the left-hand side when you enter the front doors of Scott House.
Senior Common Room
Scott House 104 | Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Recently renovated to the historic periods of the original SCR, this room is a great space that can be booked for studying, or group gatherings.
One half of the SCR showcases beautiful Victorian furniture situated by a warm fireplace, while the other half is situated in the 60s and showcases various pieces of Ron Thom’s design and mid-century modern furniture. It is particularly used by faculty and graduate students.
Scott House 2nd Floor Lounge

A quiet space situated beside our Counselling office which is often used for students to study and work on both individual and group assignments. It is also home to the Veronica Hollinger Collection of Science Fiction.

The Trend
Wallis Hall – First Floor
The Trend is Traill College’s restaurant and a great place for students to grab a bite to eat between classes. It also serves as a wonderful place to meet up with friends or a place to study. The Trend is the home for many Traill events including Open Mic Nights & Graduate Trivia Nights.
The Kitchen is open Monday to Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Fridays, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the space remaining open to the public until 10:00 p.m. After 10:00 p.m., The Trend becomes a common room exclusively for residents of Wallis Hall and Crawford House.
The Jalynn Bennett Amphitheatre is a new, three-season performance space situated in the courtyard of Traill College. The Amphitheatre meets a longstanding community need for a centrally located, outdoor stage.
As a dynamic space of performance and exhibition, the Amphitheatre also provides increased and improved access for Canadians (particularly youth, seniors, and Indigenous peoples) to arts and culture in the heart of downtown Peterborough.
