Don on Cabinet
Hi there! My name is Maddi and I am running for the Don on Cabinet position. I am a third year forensic and biology undergrad student and have a passion for sports, music and nature. I am currently the senior don for Traill College, and work with housing staff and students across Traill Main and Traill Annex. I hope to advocate for all Traill students on and off campus, as I strongly believe in making decisions as a community. I plan to take information from Traill Cabinet meetings and share it amongst the rest of the don team and with students. My current don position allows me to share information and gain input from students directly from the residence communities. I hope to create a welcoming and accessible community here at Traill. I believe in making a positive experience for students which includes creating fun events, creating opportunities for student voices to be heard ad well as advocation for Traill at the university level. I hope to help plan and facilitate events that cater to all interests. I also plan to advocate for better access to resources in residence and the Traill communities. I would like to create an environment where every student feels as though they are represented and I plan to work on initiatives to support mental health and overall well-being in residence. Let’s make 2024/2025 a great year!
Leah Allen
Minister of Promotions
Hello! My name is Leah Allen. This is my first year being affiliated with Traill College, and I am extremely excited about it! I am a second year Criminology Student, and a first year Residence Life Don. I am interested in becoming Minister of Promotions as I really enjoy working with social media platforms, and I have lots of experience designing engaging yet informative posts and posters. This past summer, I worked as a social media coordinator, which gave me first-hand experience creating posts through Canva that caught the eye of the person scrolling through Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, and provided them with useful information pertaining to the organization I was working with. I think this experience would allow me to be successful in the role of Minister of Promotions, and properly advertise Traill Cabinet events to maximize engagement from students! I would really love to be Minister of Promotions and help bring the Traill Wow spirit to Cabinet!
Aiden Schneider
Junior Minister of Finance, Junior Senate Liaison
Dear fellow Traill College students and staff,
I’ve been here for only a month, and I could tell you that Traill College is not just our dorm; Traill College is a community for people with a huge amount of potential and the home to Trent’s Law LLC and as a future law student myself, I understand that the power of politics is entwined with the power of finances, which fuels my future passions for these subjects.
To introduce myself, my name is Aiden Schneider, and I am majoring in Business Administration while at Traill College which might grant me academic advantages into finances, but that is not why you should vote for me. The positions that I am running for: Junior Minister of Finance and Junior Senate Liaison are not positions that solely require strong academic knowledge. They are positions that require the asset that sets me apart the most – a dedication to building genuine relationships.
If I am elected, I will not just be another person that does what is best in their self interest, because my self interest is the improvement of Traill College. At the end of the day regardless of my position I’m also just a student who lives in the same college as you and as a freshman, I cannot do this position all by myself. I need the help of every staff and student here to help make Traill College an even safer and enjoyable place for everyone.
Thank you for listening,
Aiden Schneider
