Each year the Department of Chemistry celebrates its students with various prizes. These prizes are awarded based on academic merit and/or donour criteria.

Awards & Bursaries
Chemistry students who demonstrate financial need could qualify for the awards & bursaries below.
Greg & Laura Piasetzki Award
Established by Greg ('72) and Laura Piasetzki. Awearded annually to one returning student in Chemistry and one returning student in Forensic Science. OTSS Guidelines apply.
TD Green Undergraduate Award
To support full-time undergraduate students with financial need and working towards undergraduate degrees in: Environmental & Resource Science, Environmental & Resource Studies, Geography, Chemistry, Indigenous Environmental Studies, Biology, Bachelor of Environmental Science/Studies, Water Sciences and Ecological Restoration. Amyotte Bursary
Established by Mary L. Amyotte (Chemistry Department, Trent University, 1964-1990). Preference will be given to the most deserving undergraduate student in second year and above and majoring in Chemistry. OSOTF guidelines apply.
David Irwin Memorial Bursary
Established in memory of David Sutherland Irwin, a member of Trent's first graduating class and a former Professor of Biochemistry. Awarded to a student entering the third or fourth year of an Honours program in Chemistry or Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. OSOTF guidelines apply.
OSOTF Eligibility Guidelines:
Students, or their parents, or spouses must have lived in Ontario for at least 12 consecutive months, without being a full-time post secondary student, prior to the beginning of their current full-time post-secondary studies: or Students must demonstrate financial need and be in receipt of OSAP to qualify for OSOTF bursaries and awards.
