This is a special "Convocation Issue" of Trent University's publication, the Fortnightly. Regular production of the Fortnightly has been suspended for budgetary reasons. Brief news updates will appear on this site under Weekly Update, or Special Announcements & Bulletins on the News and Events page, and also on the Press Releases page.

      We thank all readers for their interest in our paper, and especially for their recent response to our fourth annual readers' survey.

      We received a total of 102 responses, the majority of which indicated that Trent issues and politics articles were most important to them, followed by "talkabout" stories about staff, faculty and students, then the calendar of events and features about speakers and visitors to Trent.

      The Fortnightly first appeared on-line in the fall of 1997, and several respondents utilized the on-line survey provided with the April 2 edition.
