Trent conferred three honorary doctor of laws degrees at convocation on May 29. Award-winning physicist and Trent alumnus Ian Affleck was honored for his exceptional contributions to the field of physics in Canada, Canadian textiles historian Dorothy Burnham for a lifetime of research and scholarship in the field of Canadian Textiles, and CBC's This Hour Has 22 Minutes comedian Mary Walsh for outstanding contributions to the performing arts.
