Named in the top 100 Women of Influence in Business by the Women's Executive Network in 2020, Ms. Scaldwell has had a leading hand in the success of many major industries both on a national and international level. Currently serving as the President of the Canadian Beverage Association, Krista has held Vice-President roles in the area of public affairs and communications for Coca-Cola Canada, Canada Life, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Group of Companies in Canada, and Bristol Myers Squibb Canada. Prior to industry, she was a senior political staff member in the Ontario Government.
Ms. Scaldwell has a BA in Economics and Sociology from Trent University and an Executive MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. She has previously served as chair of the Markham-Stouffville Hospital Board of Directors Governance Committee, was a member of the Selection Advisory Board of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada as a Ministry appointee, chair of the Trent University Community of Women, past chair of the Board and member of the international board of directors of Action Against Hunger.
Ms. Scaldwell was reappointed to the Trent University Board of Governors for a second, three-year term effective July 1, 2023, as well as a one-year term as Vice-Chair effective July 1, 2024
