Recently retired from over 35 years in healthcare administration, Mr. Eric Hanna has held senior executive positions at several Ontario hospitals - most recently President & CEO of Campelbellford Memorial Hospital. Previously, Mr. Hanna has been appointed by the Ontario Ministry of Health to undertake governance reviews of healthcare organizations. Mr. Hanna has received recognition for his extensive contributions to his community and profession throughout his career by organizations such as the Ontario Hospital Association, ADvantage Ontario, American College of Healthcare Executives, Arnprior Chamber of Commerce, and the University of Ottawa.
Outside of his executive work, Mr. Hanna has contributed his time to volunteering for not-for-profit organizations as an active member or chairperson for local and national Board of Directors. Some of these efforts include work with the Community Care Access Centre - Durham, the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, the Eastern Ontario Regional Laboratory Association, the Victorian Order of Nurses, and Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada.
Eric has earned his B.Comm from the University of Ottawa ('82) and an M.B.A from the University of Toronto ('92). He also holds a Chartered Account designation and has two Certified Health Executive designations.
Eric was appointed for a three-year term on the Board of Governors effective July 1, 2024, following a one-year term as an external community member on the Nominating & Governance Committee.
