Ms. Emma Kaszecki is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Life Sciences (ENLS) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science, with a specialization in Law and Policing from Trent University. Throughout her institutional career with Trent, Ms. Kaszecki has worked as both a teaching and research assistant, provided insight on multiple committees, such as Research Policy, Colleges and Student Services, as well as the Environmental Advisory Board, and formerly held the elected position of President of the Trent University Graduate Students' Association (TGSA).
Ms. Kaszecki has spread her passion and knowledge of the sciences beyond the walls of Trent University while participating in the Annual FemSteam Summitt, which tasks its members with inspiring young women in their community to explore opportunities in fields such as Science, Technology & Trades, Engineering, Math, and the Arts. She currently holds the seat of Student Representative on the Executive Committee of the Euglena International Network, and was bestowed the Community Impact Award in 2020 during the Celebration of Community-Based Research in Peterborough.
Ms. Kaszecki has been appointed for a 2-year term with the Board of Governors effective July 1, 2023.
