Consultations are private and confidential. Topics could include course-related issues, course design/ delivery, assessment techniques, strategies for student engagement, using new technologies or even just as a sounding board and asking questions! We are also committed to helping write research proposals and supporting the design of projects related to research on teaching.
To request a consultation, contact us at teaching@trentu.ca or by phone at 705-748-1011, ext. 7194.
First-Year Caucus
The First-Year Caucus brings together first-year instructors and academic student-support staff once per term to discuss what they have observed in their work with first-year students this year as well as successful strategies and challenges in first-year teaching. Meetings occur at the end of Fall and Winter terms, and include opportunities for discussion as well as presentations on recent research in teaching and learning, Indigenization, and accessibility.
