The Trent Teaching Commons and the Office of Research and Innovation are pleased to invite you to the Celebration of Faculty Excellence in Teaching and Research, taking place on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. in the Student Centre at the Symons Campus. The event will also be live streamed for those unable to attend in person. The celebration will include an awards ceremony followed by a reception with light refreshments.
The recipients of the following awards will be honoured at the ceremony:
- Symons Award for Excellence in Teaching: David Riegert
- Distinguished Research Award: Dr. Marguerite A. Xenopoulos
- Award for Educational Leadership and Innovation: Dr. Joanna Freeland
- Early Career Researcher Award: Dr. Mary-Claire Buell, Dr. Melanie Rosen, Dr. Stephanie Tobin
- CUPE 3908-1 Award for Excellence in Teaching: Dr. Paul Mazzocchi
- Award for Excellence in Online Teaching: Dr. George Kovacs
- Award for Excellence in Teaching Assistance: Mark Trumble
