Graduate Studies

Trent-Queen’s Chemistry and Trent-UOIT Materials Science Programs

Students in our graduate programs have an exciting opportunity to do cutting edge research in newest energy and environmental technologies. Our laboratory offers a place to conduct intense research, to collaborate with supportive faculty, and to take advantage of outstanding facilities.

Post Doctoral Positions

NSERC-AECL-NRCan Gen IV Energy Technologies Program

Post Doctoral Fellows are invited to work in the areas of (1) Experimental Physical Chemistry and (2) Numerical Modeling/Molecular Dynamics Simulations. The candidate will conduct basic and applied research with main focus on physics and chemistry of high-temperature aqueous fluids and their interactions with materials, and will be involved in the development of the super-critical water-cooled nuclear reactor (CANDU SCWR), Canada’s choice for the next generation power technology.

The Laboratory meets frequently with industry and government representatives, which provides a chance for students and researchers to get advice about career opportunities and make contacts with potential employers. We offer attractive stipend arrangements.
