What she's doing now: Working as an intern with the Office of the Minister for the Status of Women
Impact at Trent: "It changed everything... I will always appreciate what I have learned, but I will be eternally grateful for the confidence the community of people had in my abilities long before I did."
Advice for prospective and current students: "Find your space in this community, and if it is not there, create it. There are hundreds of fantastic opportunities for you to find your 'politics' and your confidence."

What he's doing now: Attending York University for a B.ed
Impact at Trent: "My degree has given me critical thinking skills I do not believe I could have developed otherwise. Also, having someone teaching about something he was so intimately involved in was an experience I am really glad I could have."
Favourite classes at Trent University: Canadian Environmental Policies, Canadian Social Policies, and Contemporary Canadian Problems
Advice to first year students: "Do not get discouraged by first year, it is an overwhelming experience that is very tough. As long as as you are interested in the material and enjoy learning about it do not worry if you do not do well at first."

Advice to first year students: "Try to get to know your classmates and professors better, and if you will do so, your experience at Trent will be unforgettable, trust me!"
Impact at Trent: "Trent students were great as they had that never-ending passion for a better future... It was a pleasure to be with those people in the same room and develop plans together."

What she's doing now: M.A. in Political Economy at Carleton University and is working as a Policy Analyst for Library Archives Canada
Favourite classes at Trent University: Canada, Globalization and Development, community course with TCRC, and Feminism in Canada
What she misses about Trent University: The beauty of Trent's campus and being able to engage with like minded people
Impact at Trent: "Going to Trent helped me adjust to the seminar-style of grad school. The small class sizes and high level of interaction with professors at Trent prepared me well for the level of participation required of a grad student."

What she's doing now: Graduated form the University of Waterloo in 2016 with a M.A. in Political Science and is working as a Corporate Social Responsibility Assistant with ABC Group a Tier 1 automotive supplier
Favourite classes at Trent University: Cultural Politics, Canadian Politics, Critical Security Studies, and Latin American Politics
What she misses about Trent University: the close-knit inclusive community, the Seasoned Spoon, and paddling in the Otonabee River
Impact at Trent: "With a Political Studies degree, many doors open for you after graduation, whether that is pursuing a career in the public or private sector, or pursuing a graduate degree."
David MacDonald
2015 Graduate with a B.A. in Political Studies
What he's doing now: Working for the Federal Government in Ottawa in the Department of National Defence
Involvement here at Trent: Trent University Politics Society (TUPS) Social Representative which gave him a "space to develop my thoughts with like minded and engaged people."
What he misses the most: "I miss the people and atmosphere Trent provided. Everyone was always willing to hear me out and engage on the topics in a productive manner.
Impact at Trent: "Getting a degree from Trent has allowed me to feel comfortable with my own thoughts and abilities. It also provided a wonderful learning experience with knowledgeable and engaging professors"
