At Trent University, we provide an excellent education at a great value. We work hard to keep our tuition affordable, while maintaining the highest of academic standards.
Tuition & Fees
How much does it cost to study online? There’s no major difference between taking online and on-campus courses at Trent. Your course load essentially determines tuition and fees.
If you’re already a Trent student and want to sign up for an online course as part of your regular load, you simply register online as you would for an on-campus course.
Online courses are billed individually for students from other institutions studying on a Letter of Permission.

Exam Fees
Students registered in online courses may have the option to write an online proctored final exam at an additional fee. Please consult your course syllabus or course instructor for more information.
Estimated exam fees can range from $23 - $31 USD for a 2-3 hour exam. Conversion to Canadian dollars will be determined at the time of purchase with exchange rates subject to fluctuation. Students who choose to use the online proctored exam service will be responsible for registering with the proctoring service and paying all applicable fees (including rescheduling fees) in advance of writing the exam.
Scholarships and Bursaries
As the #1 university in Canada for scholarships, Trent offers a full and diverse scholarship program, designed to foster and reward academic excellence among its students.
