 Excalibur Golf Tournament to Support Trent Varsity Athletics June 16FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Registration now open for annual tournament at Peterborough Golf & Country Club Monday, May 16, 2011, Peterborough Trent University’s Department of Athletics & Recreation will once again be hosting the popular Excalibur Golf Tournament at the Peterborough Golf & Country Club (PGCC) on Thursday, June 16, 2011. All proceeds from the Excalibur Golf Tournament go towards supporting the varsity program at Trent University and athletic financial awards. These awards are designed to assist student athletes with a record of outstanding academic and athletic performance and demonstrated financial need. Each donation is matched dollar-for-dollar by the government’s Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS) program. Registration for the seventh annual tournament is $200 per golfer and $800 for a foursome. In addition to a cart rental and round of golf at one of Peterborough’s most prestigious courses, registration includes: lunch at the PGCC, post-tournament reception and dinner at Trent University, a free Excalibur golf club and the chance to win several prizes. The tournament is open to all members of the community. Registration is now open.
