Trent Continues to Experience High Growth in Application Numbers

Enrolment Update:
An update on undergraduate enrolment applications for 2010-11 presented to Trent’s Board of Governors today confirmed that the University continues to generate strong interest among prospective students, with Trent experiencing the highest growth in applications from the previous year of any university in the province.
Total applications to Trent have increased 14.9 per cent from the previous year.
Secondary School Students
Applications to Trent University from high school students increased a substantial 17.7 per cent over the previous year.
“This most recent application report confirms that Trent’s scholarship programs and new marketing initiatives are continuing to have a positive impact,” said Dr. Jim Parker, vice president, Research, Strategic Enrolment Management and International. “The increase in applications aligns Trent very positively with the policy goals contained in yesterday’s provincial budget, which commits $310 million in new funding to create an additional 20,000 seats for postsecondary education students.”
