Catch Trent’s 2009 Convocation Ceremonies Live Online

Live streaming of 42nd Convocation Ceremonies
available for viewers worldwide

Tuesday, June 2, 2009, Peterborough

Trent University’s 42nd Convocation Ceremonies, to be held June 3 – 5, 2009, will be available to viewers around the globe through live streaming online this year at www.trentu.ca/convocation .

The initiative of Trent’s Information Technology Department will allow family and friends who are unable to attend the ceremonies to watch their graduate receive a degree. Also available through the webcast will be all speeches, awards presentations and the conferring of honorary degrees.

The agenda for convocation ceremonies on each of the three days is as follows:

Wednesday, June 3 – 10 a.m.
Ancient Greek & Roman Studies, Canadian Studies, Cultural Studies, English Literature, Greek & Latin Language & Literature, History, Diploma in Canadian Studies
Honorary Degree - Ms. Maude Barlow
Symons Award for Excellence in Teaching - Professor Molly Blyth
Professors Emeriti - Professors Sean Kane, Orm Mitchell
University Archivist Emeritus - Dr. Bernadine Dodge
Graduates and guests are invited to a reception following the ceremony. The receptions are divided by Departments or Programs.
