Coaching Program Offered at Trent University Athletics Complex on November 15 & 16

Members of the community are invited to take part in the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level A - Competition Coaching course being held at Trent University on November 15 and 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Athletics Complex.

This program is offered through Trent University with course instructor Pat Leith. This introductory course is for those getting started in coaching that haven't taken any coach education yet. It is designed to provide a great base of information for new coaches whether you are working with young children or older elite athletes. It is also a refresher for coaches who have never had any certification.

Modules include making ethical decisions, planning a practice, and nutrition. As follow up to this course, Trent will also be offering the NCCP Level B course in 2009.
