Trent University Swimming Lessons Feature New CPR Guidelines

Community Invited to Register for Spring and Summer Swimming Lessons

The new CPR guidelines approved by the Workplace Safety Insurance Board are now incorporated in all leadership level swimming programs at Trent University.
Swimming instructor certifications have updated their course content to reflect the latest improvements in First Aid, Cardiopulmanary Resuscitation (CPR) and Water Safety initiated by the Canadian Red Cross and Lifesaving Society.
Registration for the spring session swimming lessons at Trent University’s Centre for Swimming is currently underway. The community is invited to begin registering for summer swimming lessons on Wednesday, June 13.
For both sessions, the Trent Centre for Swimming is offering the following courses:
- Red Cross Water Safety Program for infants to adults (special needs accommodated)
- Lifesaving Society Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross
- Lifeguard or Swimming Instructor certification
- First Aid and CPR training
All courses and programs will be offered at the Allan Marshall Pool in the Athletics Complex on Trent University’s Symons campus.
