Life After Trent Online: Neil Morton and Nicola Van Dam
I loved it! I think it was great, great speakers, great turnout, and needless to say an amazing host! :) I loved that they didn't shy away while sharing their experiences and talked about the good with the bad. My takeaway definitely was to step up my job hunting game and make the leap to network with folks. I think most people wanted to hear that too, so it was great that they touched upon it a great deal.- Rahul Jindal, Bachelor of Business Administration, 2016
It was super informative. Great job!- Katlyn Jones, 2016
I really enjoyed it! It was interesting to hear how "zig zag" their career paths were! Very encouraging- Emma Jane Woods, Bachelor of Science, Environmental Science, 2015
TrentUConnect
I had a great experience using Trentu connect and 10 thousand coffees. I got to ask questions, listen to career advice and hear amazing Trent stories. Being able to reach out to Trent alumni with the same interests as me helped me focus on my career path. It was easy to sign up, connect and network with 10 thousand coffees. The experience that 10 thousand coffees provides is unique and valuable for Trent students. I would recommend 10 thousand coffees to all Trent students - Alexander Vassiliadis, Bachelors of Science Biomedical Sciences, 2019

Women In Leadership
“I was very happy to be able to join the Women in Leadership panel that was hosted last week. I really enjoyed the panel, due to the fact that I myself am in business and to be a women in business can be vey difficult, especially when handling a leader position. In the past, I've struggled with pushing myself to take on lead roles as I feared disappointing myself or others while in a leadership position. Although leadership is still something I am working to improve, the women on the panel and their own experiences with leadership, allowed me to see that anyone can lead in business and that no women should fear taking the lead in business no matter the position. In the future, I hope to be in a position of leadership myself and I know that the Women in Leadership Panel will be an event I can look back on that helped get me through my studies, and encouraged my leadership skills. I think that future panels would help encourage other students to relate to those in a position that the student would like to be in someday. In terms of comments and suggestions, I enjoyed the panel and would be interested in attending more that involve promoting leadership roles, women in the workplace or simply just to help students find empowerment through other leaders within their studies. It is alright with me if you included a quote and below I have added my reference information.”- Sheiilla Faraji, Business Administration 2019

The Life After Trent program helped me to connect with the YMCA GTA to learn about the volunteer options that were available virtually for me so that I could get experience in the field of education and complete my placement criteria in the Teacher Education Stream. The experience was highly beneficial because I learned in great detail about the experiences out there and how I could get involved. This was a truly helpful event for me because I connected with the YMCA the day of the event and got a placement set up with them the next day! Students should definitely look into events like this so they can learn about the opportunities out there that relate to their interests and future aspirations- Jennifer Seto, Teacher Education Stream, 2019
