The Joint Major Honours Degree in International Political Economy
Trent University was one of the first Canadian universities to offer the study of International Political Economy as an undergraduate degree option, beginning in the year 2000. Offered as a "joint major" honours degree option, the IPE degree must be combined with a joint major in another existing discipline. The IPE degree has, for example, commonly been combined with a degree in International Development Studies, Political Studies or Economics. But the degree could be combined with any joint major programme, such as Anthropology, Business Administration, Canadian Studies, Environmental and Resource Studies, Geography, History, Native Studies, Sociology, or Women's Studies.
