This event that brings together Indigenous women, their families and allied scholars to celebrate the voices, experiences, and lives of Indigenous women.
The symposium will feature keynotes by Dr. Laurie Rousseau-Nepton, Astronomer at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope, and the First Indigenous Women to a receive a PhD in Astronomy in Canada. In alignment with our theme of star knowledge, there will be two portable planetarium domes present, offering a unique and immersive experience for screenings and presentations.
Let's come together in March 2024, beneath ancestral skies, to honour Indigenous women, their knowledges, and stories. We look forward to welcoming you at Trent University and creating a constellation of ideas, insights, and connections together.
