Climax
The points appear in order of least to most important to the argument. For instance, if you felt the most important factor motivating Vera Zasulich to join the revolutionary movement was her ongoing persecution by the Russian police, you might begin with her exposure to revolutionary ideas in the newly-accessible universities, or her generation's discomfort with their privilege, working your way up to a description of her mistreatment at the hands of Russian authorities. Your intent must be clear from the outset when a climactic arrangement is used; otherwise, the ideas presented will only confuse the reader. Therefore, use the introduction to lay out the progression of points you will address in the essay and the significance of their order.
