Here's what you can expect at Open House:
- ACADEMIC & STUDENT SERVICES FAIR: Speak with professors and students about your programs of interest and the endless opportunities available to you at Trent; learn more about Trent's 20+ co-op streams, degree specializations, and all kinds of extracurriculars, including career-boosting hands-on learning.
- CAMPUS TOURS: Get an up-close-and-personal look at living and learning at the Trent Symons campus, including student residence, lecture halls, study spaces, and social environments.
- INFORMATION SESSIONS: Attend information sessions to deep-dive into your programs of choice or learn more about student supports, hosted by faculty and staff within each department
- ON-THE-SPOT APPLICATIONS: Ready to take the next step? Apply to your program(s) of choice on the spot at the Academic & Services Fair. Visit the Admissions booth for application support and to learn how you could receive an OUAC voucher to apply to Trent for free.
- SWAG SHOPPING: Buy a new Trent hoodie or other cool swag from the Campus Store during your Open House visit.
Hop on the Bus to Us
If you are coming to our Open House in Peterborough, take one of our FREE buses traveling direct from a city near you.
Start your day at one of our welcome areas at the Athletic Centre, Bata Library, DNA & Life Health Sciences Building, Enwayaang Building or Otonabee College. We will help answer your questions about Trent and direct you to the activities that interest you the most! Here you will get a program of events to help you navigate your way around campus.
Campus Tours take place all day and depart from the Athletic Centre and Enwayaang Building. Our campus tours are walking tours of our main campus and are approximately 20-minutes in length. Look for the white "Campus Tours" tent for check-in.
Our Peterborough Campus has a variety of different styles of residence accommodations to meet your needs; everything from single, double and suite style. During Open House, you will be able to visit Champlain College, Gzowski College, Lady Eaton College, Otonabee College and Traill College residence buildings.
Come visit Trent's original location, a four-acre urban oasis just minutes from downtown Peterborough. Hop on the shuttle bus - leaving from the Athletic Centre every 30 minutes between noon and 4:00 p.m. - for a guided tour of Traill's historic buildings and newly-refurbished residences, and free snacks. Have questions about our programs or the wide variety of student supports that we offer? Visit our faculty and staff in the Academic & Student Services Fair in the Athletic Centre gymnasium to get all of your questions answered. Speak with representatives from Admissions, Careerspace, Student Housing, the Colleges, and so many more!
Interested in studying the sciences while you are here at Trent? Visit our state-of-the-art labs and glimpse of what it is like to work in a lab. Our science labs are open for drop-in throughout the day. Each tour varies in length.
Attend an information session to deep-dive into your program of choice or learn more about our student supports. Each session is 30-minutes and takes place once throughout the day. We encourage you to review the list of sessions offered so you can plan your day on campus.
