The Study Abroad Program in Nantes is a program run by Trent University. This program allows students in third year to pursue a session of study in France. Students registered in the program receive all their regular credits from Trent, and many of the regular requirements for the degree can be obtained in Nantes. Tuition is paid directly to Trent, and all students live in residence at the University in Nantes.
The program is hosted by the University of Nantes and classes are taught by Nantes faculty in classes specifically for the Canadian cohort. A Trent professor will accompany the students during their first two weeks to ease the transition and introduce students to Nantes and the facilities and services of the university.
The University of Nantes attracts over 30,000 students each year and has a wide range of programs and diverse student body. Nantes is an attractive and dynamic city of 300,000 people, situated on the Loire River, in the northwest of France. It offers a fascinating mix of ancient and modern, of traditional life and technological innovations. Paris is only two hours away by high-speed train, and major French and other European cities are easily accessible.
