Janet Wright '67

President and Founder, Janet Wright & Associates

For more than thirty years, Dr. Wright has built her reputation in the profession of executive search. Her early career included university-level teaching in Canada and in France, and a management role in a public-sector research group. She then spent fourteen years in executive search with other firms, before founding her own firm, Janet Wright & Associates Inc. (JWA) in 1995. In a voluntary capacity, Dr. Wright has served on the Boards of the Canadian Arctic Resources Committee, Pollution Probe Foundation, Ridley College, and The Writers’ Trust of Canada.

Paul Davidson

President and CEO, Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada

 

Mr. Davidson was appointed President of the AUCC in May 2009. Prior to joining AUCC, Mr. Davidson was the Executive Director of World University Service of Canada (WUSC) an international development agency active on 70 campuses across Canada, and 17 countries overseas. Mr. Davidson has held senior positions in the Canadian book publishing including five years as Executive Director of the Association of Canadian Publishers.

Professor of English Literature, Mount St. Vincent University

 

Dr. Drain teaches courses in writing, from the introductory level to a senior seminar, and courses in Victorian literature or children’s literature. Her teaching has been recognized locally (MSVU Award for Instructional Leadership, 2002), regionally (Association of Atlantic Universities Teaching Award: Instructional Leadership, 2003), and nationally (3M Teaching Fellowship, 2006). She has published on the children’s writers L.M. Montgomery and Margaret Gatty, and is at work on several projects related to 19th-century children’s literature.

Former President of Trent & Vice-Chancellor, Trent University

 

Ms. Patterson is the President and CEO of the Council of Ontario Universities (COU). She was the President and Vice-Chancellor of Trent University from 1998 to 2009 and previously served as President of COU from 1995 to 1998. She has also held the position of Dean of Business at Ryerson University. Currently, she is the Chair of the Board of the Roberta Bondar Foundation, and a member of the Board of Metrolinx and the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. She is a recipient of the Order of Canada and the Order of Ontario for her contributions to postsecondary education.

John Stubbs

 

John Stubbs

Professor of Politics and History (retired), Consultant on Higher Education, former President of Trent University

 

Professor Stubbs worked at Trent University from 1967 to 1969 as Assistant to the Master of Peter Robinson College and as a Lecturer in Politics. In 1987 he returned to Trent as President and Vice Chancellor and as a Professor in the Department of History. Dr. Stubbs is an international historian and has served on the boards of many organisations including the Canada Millennium Foundation, Council of Ontario Universities, Sir Sanford Fleming College, and the BC Degree Quality Assessment Board. He is a currently a consultant on higher education matters.
