To commemorate the 50th anniversary milestone, Trent University has commissioned former student and journalist D'Arcy Jenish to research and write a comprehensive commemorative book that celebrates the history of the university and contemplates Trent's vision for the next half century.

About the Author
D'Arcy Jenish is the author of five works of historical non-fiction published by McClelland and Stewart, Penguin Canada and Doubleday Canada. His histories of the Stanley Cup and the Montreal Canadiens were national bestsellers and his two books about the opening of the Canadian West won major national literary prizes. He has earned wide acclaim from reviewers and readers alike for his vivid writing and knack for narrative story telling.
D'Arcy Jenish is a distinguished journalist and one of Canada's leading popular historians. He has written feature articles and commentary for newspapers and magazines across the country and from 1986 until 2001 was a senior writer at Maclean's magazine. Since then, he has established a freelance writing business and his work has appeared in The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Toronto Life, The Walrus and numerous other magazines.
