Trent welcomes a number of new students who begin in 2025, including transfer, mature, off-campus, and on-campus students.
Winter Orientation Schedule
Winter Orientation is taking place on Sunday, January 5. Join other new students for a fun day of introductions and activities. All sessions are taking place in the Student Centre which is located beside Bata Library. If you need extra direction once you arrive on campus, feel free to refer to our Interactive Map. No registration is required, and lunch and dinner are provided.
Welcome and Colleges Intro
Hear from Champlain College Principal Dr. James Onusko about Trent's collegiate system and the many benefits and supports available to you through the Colleges of Trent.
Academic Supports
Hear from Academic Advising and Academic Skills about the many resources and services to support you on your academic journey. A tailored session for domestic transfer students will take place in room TSC 1.20.
We also recommend you register asap for East and West Bank Homeroom, a fun and informative program tailored to help ease your transition into university life. Sessions start the week of January 6.
Consent at Trent
Hear from the Consent at Trent team about how Trent builds a culture of consent for everyone on campus.
Icebreakers
Participate in a variety of activities that will introduce you to your peers and spots around the Student Centre – home to Starbucks, Careerspace, Peer Support and more!
Campus Tours
Tour guides will escort domestic students on a walk around the beautiful Peterborough campus, showing you where to find your classes and key areas for food, services, and study spots.
Student Ted-Talks
International students will hear from other upper-year international students about their experiences coming to Canada and studying at Trent.
Winter Pre-Arrival Schedule
Join us on Zoom to learn about key academic, student life, and wellness resources – and more! This is also a great opportunity to ask questions, and get all the information you need to feel prepared, inspired, and ready for this exciting new chapter. Registration is required.
