Back to Learning: In-Person Continuing Education Classes Return to Trent University
Registration is now open for in-person, interactive workshops and multi-week courses on topics including Bee Keeping, Music, American Sign Language, Writing, Cooking and Money Management

In-person courses and workshop offerings from Continuing Education at Trent University are back at Traill College and open to lifelong learners from the community who are looking to build connections and learn something new in topics like bee keeping, music, writing, cooking, and more.
“For the first time in two years, in-person Continuing Education classes are back at Catharine Parr Traill College in downtown Peterborough,” said Dr. Michael Eamon, principal of Catharine Parr Traill College and director of Continuing Education at Trent. “Here at Traill, members of the greater community can find inspiration and discover something new alongside fellow lifelong learners, while immersing themselves in Traill’s unique learning spaces, using the College Library, or taking in a meal at The Trend café.”
Continuing Education Open House – October 5
Traill College will be hosting a special Continuing Education Open House event on Wednesday, October 5 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. where community members can learn more about the course offerings, meet instructors, and explore the learning environment at Traill College’s picturesque downtown Peterborough location.

Registration is now open for all multi-week courses and workshops starting as early as October 17 and running through to early December. There are number of new course offerings this fall that span a variety of topics and interests including music, writing, American Sign Language, and bee keeping. Participants can also broaden their horizons by indulging in a cultural exploration of Italy through art, language and cuisine. In addition to multi-week courses, a variety of workshops facilitated by members of the community will provide learners with the opportunity to get creative in the kitchen with The Trend’s Chef Christopher, tap into musical and writing talents, explore big ideas like the women’s movement and Ancient Egypt. For individuals looking for more professional development opportunities there are workshops focused on fundraising and navigating motivation and stress in the workplace.
New for Fall 2022 is a free workshop on money management sponsored by Careerspace at Trent. This complimentary workshop is presented by Gail Moorhouse of Peterborough Community Futures.
Registration for all courses and workshops is available online at trentu.ca/continuingeducation. Multi-week courses start at $260 (including HST) for the series, and workshops start at just $40 (including HST), plus appropriate materials.
