This program explores stereotypes, biases, and racism between Indigenous Peoples and Settlers as well as celebrating Indigenous culture.

Sessions:
There will be two sessions to attend:
This registers you into part A the workshop.
1. PART A
In this 3-hour interactive session, participants explore the true and historic relationship between Indigenous Peoples and settlers. We will reflect on stereotypes, biases, and racism that still exist. Participants will be encouraged to reflect on their personal identities and learning within educational systems and discuss ways to make a difference in sharing these truths.

Wednesday, May 6, 2026 1pm- 6pm
2. PART B
In the session, participants will celebrate Indigenous culture. The sessions will vary but may include visiting the tipi, finding out more about Indigenous history within the Peterborough and Kingston area through community events.

Program Fees:
The fee for the workshop is $50. You may incur additional costs depending what you choose for Part B.
