The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee (EDI) is a standing committee within the Biology Department (Biology EDI) that can be composed of faculty, staff, postdocs, and students. The purpose of the committee is to inform the Biology Department on matters related to EDI and to recommend actions that progress the Department’s goal and activities to promote the values of inclusion and equity and foster a workplace culture that is free of bias and discrimination.
The committee members service a one-year term (renewable) and membership alternates every September. If you are interested in joining the committee, please contact the Biology Department Chair.
Individuals wishing to be kept anonymous can provide their comments to the EDI committee via an anonymous paper drop box located in the first floor hallway of the Life & Health Sciences building D block between the D105 and D106 labs or by contacting the Biology Department Chair.
