Temporary Closure Notice: To facilitate these improvements, the Fitness Centre will be closed beginning Tuesday, February 18 and reopening Saturday, February 22. Please note that during this time our fitness studios will be open and fitness classes will operate as normal. The Allan Marshall Pool, gymnasium and squash courts will also remain open. |

We are thrilled to announce some exciting new changes coming to the Trent Athletics Centre! As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best sport and fitness experience, we will be undertaking a significant redesign of our Fitness Centre.
This transformation is aimed at better supporting the diverse needs of our growing student body, community members, student-athletes, and those focused on strength and conditioning, as well as functional movement.
Key Highlights of the Redesign include:
Improved Layout:

Maximized use of space and improved programming areas for better traffic flow.
Dedicated Zones:

Existing equipment on both floors reorganized into zones, such as free weight area, selectorized area, and cardio area.
New Equipment:

New state-of-the-art equipment to enhance your training

Introduction of 8 flush mount lifting platforms and 5 new half racks (8 total) with overhead connectors

New customized dumbbell free weights that will double our inventory

Addition of wall ball target

Specialized sound suppressant flooring on half of the weight room floor (1st floor)

3 new treadmills to replace outdated models

3 new tv’s

Drop-in Group Fitness Classes
Fun, motivational group fitness classes are the perfect addition to any fitness routine. Our certified instructors lead a variety of classes for different fitness interests and abilities -- from Yoga and Pilates to Bootcamp and Spin. You'll find classes that are as intense, or relaxed, as you are. Our engaging instructors and supportive class environment provide the perfect combination of motivation and fun! The best part is that group fitness classes are included with every Trent student and community membership! Don't have a membership? Drop-in to any group fitness class by purchasing an Athletics Centre day pass.
Drop-in fitness classes are 45 - 55 minutes in length and run on a first-come, first-served basis.

Indoor Rock Climbing Wall
Book your Rock Climbing Introductory Lesson TODAY!
Select “REGISTER NOW” on our website, select drop-in bookings and then the time of your choice. Two climbers must be scheduled for each booking period, as climbing lessons require two people to complete all steps of the orientation. Visit our Rock Climbing page for more information.

The Athletics Centre offers a wide variety of fitness classes to accommodate a range of skills, interests, and age groups! We also offer Adult registered programs such as Judo, Pickleball and Rowing Programs.
