Primary Division

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will qualify participants to teach Kindergarten to Grade 3.

It is designed to introduce practicing, qualified teachers to teaching and learning in the Primary Division. The work of the Primary educator is different than any other division. In Primary, we lay the groundwork upon which all other levels will scaffold. The critical thinking and problem-solving skills we facilitate, will carry students through every other educational experience. In this course, participants will explore the primary curriculum and be introduced to resources, tools, strategies and assessments used in primary classrooms.

• OCT Member in Good Standing or OCT applicant if new Ontario BEd graduate (Read more)
   
• Your teacher education program coursework and practicum must be successfully completed before registration
   
• University undergraduate degree (in addition to BEd or teacher education program degree)
