COURSE DESCRIPTION Senior Division First Nation, Métis and Inuit Studies ABQ gives teachers the qualifications to teach in the Senior Division (grades 11 to 12). The qualification gives a teacher a teachable in First Nation, Métis and Inuit Studies. This course will give teachers an opportunity to explore First Nations, Métis and Inuit Studies and embed their learning and teaching in their teachable areas (e.g., English, History, Health and Physical Education, etc). Senior First Nations, Métis and Inuit Studies employs a critical, pedagogical lens to explore in a holistic and integrated manner theoretical foundations, learning theory, program planning, development and implementation, instructional design and practices, assessment and evaluation, the learning environment, research and ethical considerations related to teaching and learning across the divisions. |
