COURSE DESCRIPTION

Taking the Junior Division ABQ course will qualify a teacher to teach grades 4 to 6.

Research in education, concerning the junior grades, continues to progress and evolve. This course provides an overview of the junior learner, and addresses The Ontario Curriculum, Grades 4-6 in a variety of subject areas, and relates resource documents, and current research to instruction with the curriculum. Through participation in current, collaborative, and engaging online modules, teachers will acquire skills and resources to support them in being effective and competent junior educators. 

 PREREQUISITES

(as required by OCT)

  • OCT Member in Good Standing or OCT applicant if new Ontario BEd graduate (Read more)
     
  • Your teacher education program coursework and practicum must be successfully completed before registration
     
  • University undergraduate degree (in addition to BEd or teacher education program degree)
