This e-mail did not originate from the IT department. Do NOT respond to this e-mail and delete immediately.
This is what is known as a phishing attack. A phishing attack is an attempt to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (and sometimes, indirectly, money) by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.
