Blackboard Restored & Planned Followup Outage
Dear Trent staff & faculty;
Please be advised that the Blackboard Learning System has returned to normal operation. If you are continuing to receive an error accessing the system, please completely shut down and restart your browser to clear out any leftover sessions. If you continue to have difficulty accessing the system after shutting down your browser, please contact the IT service desk at 705-748-1011 x 1010 or by email at it@trentu.ca for additional assistance.
Blackboard will be undergoing a followup system maintenance between 11:59 PM on Wednesday October 28th and 8:00 AM on Thursday October 29th
Impact:
For the duration of the outage the Blackboard system will be completely shut down. Users will be unable to access any Blackboard courses, take or submit assessments or post files.
Details:
This update will be used to install minor hotfixes to the back-end Blackboard infrastructure, requiring a reboot of the Blackboard servers. Additionally, we will also be installing a small service patch to the Panopto and Blackboard integration which will correct several known issues. Users should not notice any changes at the conclusion of this maintenance.
