Celebration of Excellence in Research and Teaching
Save the Date - April 23, 2024 from 12-2pm in the Student Centre and livestreamed
Each spring the Centre for Teaching and Learning joins together with the Office of Research and Innovation to host the Celebration of Faculty Excellence in Teaching and Research. The event recognizes exceptional work in the areas of teaching and research at Trent and honours the following prestigious awards, which are based on hundreds of nominations from students, instructors and staff:

Our next celebration will take place on April 23, 2024 from 12-2pm and will be in-person. We may also be livestreaming for folks wanting to tune in (and toast!) from afar.

Distinguished Research Award
The Distinguished Research Award is given annually to a member of the Trent University faculty in recognition of outstanding achievements in research and scholarship.
Early Career Researcher Award
The Early Career Researcher Award is an annual award that recognizes up to two early career Trent University promising researchers and is designed to help accelerate early-stage career faculty in building a sustainable research program.
Research Impact Award
The Research Impact Award is an annual award that recognizes the Trent University researcher or research team stewarding original and impactful research which has contributed significantly to society (local, regional, national or international).
