Research interests:
My current research interests cover two main areas:
- Effect Sizes in Psychology: Effect size refers to the magnitude of a given result (e.g., how far apart two group means are) and provides information that complements traditional measures of statistical significance. I’m interested in how different stakeholder groups (e.g., researchers, editors, educators, clinicians, policymakers) think about and use effect size information.
- Neuroessentialism: Neuroessentialism is the notion that the brain controls all aspects of behavior (i.e., we are our brains). I’m interested in how neuroessentialistic beliefs influence our attributions of other people’s behaviour.
