Inspired by Chancellor Stephen Stohn’s iconic footwear, the “Trent Shoe” has become a symbol of Trent spirit and community.
To honour Chancellor Stohn at his official installation ceremony in 2019, members of the stage party donned green Converse-style shoes as a nod to his unique style.
Initially exclusive, the shoes quickly gained popularity and evolved into a broader initiative, with President Leo Groarke (a particularly notable fan of the shoes!) offering pairs to all convocation volunteers in 2022.
Since then, the buzz for the Trent shoe has escalated, prompting myriad inquiries from groups far-and-wide about where to get their own pair.
