Operant Conditioning
Aaron finished his meal, Longboat his lecture.
As Aaron was finishing his meal, Longboat was finishing his lecture. He explained to Aaron that by giving away a free drink as a reward the cafeteria was increasing the likeiness that customers would return. Longboat pointed out that Aaron was a perfect example of this as his excitment over a very inexpensive drink made him very likely to return and score the deal again.
Aaron was satisfied with the lunch and learn.
With a new found appreciation for operant conditioning and a full stomach, Aaron was fully satisfied. Aaron looked down to realize that Longboat had not yet touch any of his food. Chuckling Aaron commented to Longboat that his passion for psychology appeared to be more important than feeding his belly and thanked Longboat for the lecture.
