Non-Academic Requirements, NARs Forms
The nursing program has specific requirements designed to keep students, faculty and patients as safe as possible. Some of these requirements parallel what will be required when applying to register with the College of Nurses of Ontario; others are requirements for entry to practice in a variety of our clinical settings. For more information about NARs, please visit our Non-Academic Requirements webpage at https://www.trentu.ca/nursing/student-services/non-academic-requirements.
Immunization & Communicable Disease Form
The information collected (including evidence of immunization history and serology reports, through the completion of the Immunization and Communicable Disease Form) assists in ensuring the immunizations that help to protect faculty/instructors, nursing students and patients, and required by the various clinical agencies are up-to-date and complete. Potential providers to help you complete this form include your family health care provider, a walk-in clinic, ect.
We strongly recommend that new students begin working on completing the form with their family health care provider as soon as they accept their offer to the TFSON. It would be advisable to start working on the requirements after attending the summer orientation in early June. If you have any questions, email nursingnars@trentu.ca.
