Biography
Dr. Woodend has held academic administrative positions (Dean, Associate Dean, Director) at both Ottawa and Trent Universities. Her nursing career began in cardiovascular intensive care, and she has since worked in clinical research, public health, and academia. Dr. Woodend is author/co-author on 62 peer-reviewed publications and 171 peer-reviewed conference papers and has received more than $15 million in external funding as an investigator or co-investigator. She is a member of the Executive of the Trent Centre for Aging and Society, an active volunteer in her community and past President and present Treasurer of the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing.
