Biography
Dana Edge held an academic appointment at Queen’s University School of Nursing from 2007-2018; her previous appointments were at University of Calgary, University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), and Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN). Dana’s varied clinical practice occurred in six jurisdictions in North America, including in rural and remote communities of Alaska, Labrador and British Columbia. Ever questioning the ‘why’ of disease patterns and clusters, she completed a doctoral degree in epidemiology at the University of Toronto.
Now retired, she maintains research interests in rural health, community resiliency, and nursing roles in primary care.
