Installation Ceremony

"Community and Excellence"

"Celebrating Community and Excellence" is the theme of the ceremony Oct. 2 in which Bonnie Patterson will be installed as Trent's sixth President and Vice-Chancellor.

Approximately 300 guests from inside and beyond the university are expected for the event in Wenjack Theatre, with about 260 invited for a lunch following in the Great Hall. Installation guests will include 30 delegates from other universities.

Representatives of the faculty, staff, students and alumni have been invited to invest President Patterson in the robes of of ce.

Trent's Chancellor, Ambassador Mary May Simon, will present Grand Chief Matthew Coon Come with an honorary degree during the morning proceedings. Artist-in-residence Donnell Leahy and his sister, Erin, of the group Leahy are scheduled to perform at the luncheon.
