Physical resources facelift
Trent University's physical resources department has undergone a facelift during the summer, with the addition of one new staff member, promotion of another and a contract position for a third.
Dave Ruthowsky, who has been with Trent University for 15 years, has been appointed supervisor, facility maintenance. In his new role, which was effective July 21, he is responsible for supervising the services provided by mailroom staff, porters, general maintenance assistants, locksmiths and general maintenance lead hands as well as contracted work or services.
Wayne Craft is a newcomer to Trent University, moving into a new position as supervisor of caretaking services effective August 28. He has 21 years of experience in caretaking services with the last nine in a managerial role. He has held positions at Peterborough's Civic Hospital and Lindsay's Victoria Manor.
In addition the physical resources department has retained the services of Robert Ballarin on a one-year contract to help put in place new development strategies at the university. A former manager of planning and transportation with the local public school board, he will also provide expert advice on realty and development matters.
